Director of Technology - Linda Sue Martin
Linda Sue is a technology professional with over thirty years of Information Technology experience. She began her technology career as a programmer, but was soon given an opportunity to move into the Help Desk side of the industry. This led to a career in Infrastructure and network support that naturally progressed into greater responsibilities of department management.
Her experience in all sectors of business has given her a excellent perspective of the different ways organizations process their business. While working as a civilian for the US ARMY she learned that the innovative edge of technology can sometimes have MacGyver moments; and the importance of patience in dealing with organizational structure. In the large corporate environment, she learned that “deep pockets” can empower an organization to get the job done right, and stretched her patience skills by working with the various team members. In the local government sector, Linda Sue learned the joy of working with high quality contractors, and relied on her patience and diplomacy skills to resolve conflicts.
The best sector of business, from Linda Sue’s point-of-view, is the small business sector. For over fifteen years she has worked for small businesses providing companies with top quality technology solutions and services. It’s a fast paced environment, yet the diversity challenges and inspires her. Linda Sue knows there is always more than one way to get the job done, and done well.
Linda Sue’s patient and even-tempered approach is the foundation for her high level of professionalism. Crisis management experience, through years of technology support, gives her a thorough understanding of the importance of keeping company operations going. Using her understanding that no one solution works for every situation has empowered her to implement technology solutions tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. The technology best practices she has learned from both training and experience gives her confidence in providing technology leadership to her clients.
Completing a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in information systems in 2013, Linda Sue has further deepened her business skills to advise small businesses on issues such as: Strategic planning, risk management, technology security, disaster recovery and business continuity, project management, business analysis for new technology implementations, and cost analysis for sustainable growth. Her goal is to use her well-rounded point-of-view to strengthen an organization’s successful operations.
